What the Small Print lens collects, and what it never touches. Short version: it reads pages you ask it to check, and nothing else.
What the lens collects
- The words and address of a page you ask it to check. Sent to the Small Print engine to run the checks. They are not kept as a stored page copy; routine logs keep the domain, timings, anonymous install ID, and result counts.
- Training is off until you turn it on. Only then are up to three checked sentences included in the engine log as test cases, so misses become lessons. Turn it off anytime in the panel.
- Timings and an anonymous install ID, so we can find failures you report. Resettable in settings.
What it never collects
- Your name, email, or anything that says who you are.
- Pages you did not ask it to check, your history, or other tabs.
- Anything for advertisers. There are none. Data is never sold.
Why it asks for permissions
- Reading page content: the lens reads the words of the page you have open. That is the product.
- Storage: your settings and anonymous install ID live in Chrome storage and may sync with your signed-in Chrome profile.

Use the support address on the Chrome Web Store listing for privacy questions or deletion requests. State the install ID from the lens settings so we can locate any training data tied to that install.
